we can manually the data type of any filed by clicking on dropdown on top of

Open your data set in
tableau

Tableau will show up
measures and dimensions on the left side bars

Drag measures in column and
dimensions in rows

Depending upon our measures
and dimensions that we dragged in rows and column the tableau will show
visualization

We can sort the
visualization data by clicking sort button

To apply filter drag the

Bar chart is one of most commonly used way to represent the
data. It is best way to visualize data when comparing data. We should use the
bar chart when we have clear numeric data and can be split into categories

Line chart is also frequently used graph type. It consists
of bars and pies. It connects the individual numeric data points. It also easy
to analyze sequences of values. It is mostly used to show the trends over the
time.

Pie is circular graph which utilize the concepts of circle
and angle to utilize the data. It is used to show the relative preposition or
percentage of variables. This is mostly miss-used  chart type. If you want to compare data go
for bar chat or stacked bars. Don’t use unnecessarily the pie chart.

Map as the name shows that it is to visualize the data that
is related to location or something to do with the location. Data may be postal
code, country name, latitudes and longitudes. This is used for visualization of

to make more noticeable or prominent data on scattered plot or maps. It has not

visualizations. It this chart consist of varied type of circle called bubbles
that provides meaning about data. It help the analyzers to analyze the concentration
of data.

how data intersects by using color highlight map uses number to provide

device view then the analyzer or observer have to scroll up and down to analyze
the data that will irritate and disturb the analyzer that my effect the
analyzing result  and yet display a large

Stories is sequence of visualization that together convey
information sequentially. A story is a sheet, so the techniques you use to
make, name, and oversee worksheets and dashboards likewise apply to stories. In
the meantime, a story is additionally a gathering of sheets, organized in a
succession. Every individual sheet in a story is known as a story point.

Steps to create Story

Select create story button
in bottom of tableau visualization

size on left bottom corner

Change the title by double
clicking the title.

Add the Caption to
summarize visualization story.

Drag the visualization
sheet form left side bar in story area

left side bar to create new blank story point

Repeat step 4 and 5 for
each story point.

Dashboard

Dashboard is a collection of several chart, worksheets and
show the information at single place so that it will be easy for analyzer to
analyze and compare different charts and he can compare and monitor a different
data simultaneously.

You can create dashboard by simply clicking create new
dashboard button as shown in picture

After that table will show you a blank sheet then add sheets
in the dashboard that are shown in left side bar by dragging them into
dashboard area.

As you drop the sheet in the dashboard area, it will show
that sheet visualization in the dashboard.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We can also change preview device by click preview device
button in left side bar after clicking that button tableau provide us multiple
devices types that we can select manually

Tableau also provide us facility to customize the layout of
dashboard. We can manually change the layout of dashboard.
